The majority of the stock transactions in the Netherlands are processed with Syntel software. The Dutch clients of Syntel include, among others:
WestlandUtrecht Effectenbank (part of the ING Group) is a specialised securities firm that is geared to investment consulting, asset management and stock administration for private parties. Since mid-2003, WestlandUtrecht Effectenbank uses the front, mid and back office system EuroPort+. In addition, WestlandUtrecht Effectenbank has the AnswerPort reporting tool at its disposal. With the help of this tool, the increasingly strict regulations of external supervisors can be met simply and with flexibility, and one can accurately anticipate the continuously changing administrative organisation and internal control. For interfacing with, for example, NSC, Switch, Sasi and Telekurs, use is made of Fintegrator.
Alex Vermogensbank maakt toegankelijke vermogensgroei mogelijk met sparen, beleggen en vermogensbeheer. Voor een volledig geautomatiseerde effectenadministratie maakt Alex gebruik van EuroPort+. Het messaging systeem Fintegrator zorgt voor de interfacing met onder andere NSC, Switch, SWIFT, Telekurs, Goldman Sachs en TIBCO. Daarnaast maakt Alex gebruik van additionele functionaliteit, zoals de WID-controle en het 4-ogenprincipe.
BinckBank is a professional online securities firm that has committed itself exclusively to providing stock market services to private, professional and institutional investors. This securities firm offers its retail services through the internet. Binck uses EuroPort+ in combination with EuroPort+ Internet Brokerage and Fintegrator to enable completely STP, on-line and real-time handling of stock trading. By means of Fintegrator, Binck is linked real-time to NSC, Switch, Telekurs VDF, Sasi and Eurex.
The trademark of Robein Bank is providing high-quality services at a very personal level. Since early 2004, Robein makes use of EuroPort+. Robein offers a wide variety of products whose administration is done in EuroPort+. For interfacing with NSC, use is made of Fintegrator.
Gestion is an independent broker targeting institutional and private investors in the Netherlands and abroad. The company provides added value in the field of 'small caps' in particular. This Amsterdam-based broker has been working for many years now with Syntel's standard NEKI system. EuroPort is used for the stock administration. Gestion makes use of Fintegrator, among others, for automated linking to the KAS BANK.
Kuperus Effecten is a Bussum-based broker. The company is mainly geared to wealthy individuals. To manage the stock administration Syntel's standard NEKI version is employed. In addition, Kuperus Effecten is linked to the KAS BANK and the Stock Clearing.
Nachenius Tjeenk is a subsidiary of BNP Paribas Private Bank S.A. and specialises in investment consulting and asset management in the broadest sense of the word. In September 2003, Nachenius Tjeenk switched from EuroPort to EuroPort+. Its front, mid and back office are now fully integrated. With the help of the EuroPort+ Internet Brokerage application, clients have online access to their stock portfolio. The reporting tool of EuroPort+ is used to create management information reports and internal reports concerning duty of care. Fintegrator enables a direct link with Euronext and Telekurs.
Staalbankiers is a modern bank with a classic background that is part of the financial service provider Achmea. The stock administration system EuroPort+ is an important application for Staalbankiers. It is used in combination with the internet application EuroPort+ Internet Brokerage. With Syntel's remisiers functionality, the remisiers and advisors of Staalbankiers have online access to the client data in EuroPort+ and can, for example, implement (collective) orders via the internet. For Staalbankiers, extra modules such as FinSnap and Fire have been added to the standard EuroPort+ functionality. The messaging system Fintegrator is employed, among others, for direct linking to Euronext and SASI.
Robeco has been a client of Syntel from the very beginning. After using EuroPort v3 running under AIX for a long time, the company recently decided to switch to a new environment based on Windows and Magic 9. This has resulted in a EuroPort v5 solution, a one-on-one functional copy of the existing v3 system. For communicating with Euronext, Fintegrator is used.
Banque Artesia Nederland is a bank that offers a personal approach in which the customer takes centre stage. Operating from nine offices within the Netherlands, Banque Artesia Nederland focuses on three core activities, which are Private Banking, Corporate Banking and Public Finance. Due to the size of its organisation and the very short and efficient lines of communication, the bank is able to give its customers the attention they deserve and to provide top-quality banking products that are made to order. Since 2 January 2006, Bangue Artesia Nederland uses EuroPort+ as its stock administration system. The messaging system Fintegrator provides links to Telekurs and Fortis Brokerage Services.
Syntel has realised one of its biggest EuroPort+ implementations for Fortis Bank. The system is used for the bank's retail activities. Some client-specific links have been created between EuroPort+ and the account current and ledger system as well as the Global Custodian Management system of Fortis Bank. Syntel's messaging system Fintegrator ensures the connection with Euronext. Also, Fortis Bank attends to its online clients with the internet application EuroPort+ Internet Brokerage.
Since 1994, ING Wholesale works with the exclusively developed tailor-made system BOTS (Back Office Treasury System). From the beginning, a permanent team (software engineers and a business analyst) has been working on this system. Since 1999, the Syntel team has been working at the client site on maintaining and expanding this system. BOTS processes over 15 products, such as stocks, bonds, options, futures, repos and various OTC transactions. Settlement and clearing are handled within BOTS as well.
